From Sound to Signal: Cough-Based Cancer Detection at #EMBC 2025

Yesterday at #EMBC 2025 in Copenhagen, Chiara Giangregorio (Politecnico di Milano) took the stage to present her team’s work on automatic cough analysis for non-small cell lung cancer detection.

A bold and forward-thinking approach that brings together AI, biomedical engineering, and a simple question: can something as ordinary as a cough become a tool for early diagnosis?
