How do we build artificial intelligence in oncology that is understandable and trustworthy?

Vanja Mišković Miskovic from Politecnico di Milano brought this question to the stage at the AI in Oncology by IHU PRISM in Paris, representing the #I3LUNG Project. In her presentation: “Multimodal XAI in Clinical Oncology: Toward Transparent and Trustworthy AI Tools”, she explored how explainable AI, integrating diverse clinical data that can move us closer to tools that not only predict, but also support care teams in meaningful, reliable ways.
